These estimates are based on the soldier being in the service the standard amount of time for rank, and not having any other debts. Any other loans or credit cards may affect your qualified payments. Too many negative items on your credit could also affect your qualification status. Often if a service member has a lot of negative loans, or cards, for significant dollar amounts, then often times we have to use SNAAC as our funding source. In that event, it usually takes a little more money down than the $500 that MILES requires.
